Mission Possible – Part I

Life is hard…and it’s hard for everyone.

Maybe someone close to you is going through something that seems like more than they can handle.  You wonder how they can possible make it through.  The mission God has given them just seems to be too much.  Maybe you have even said something like, “God, I could never handle that.  Please don’t ever do that to me.”

Or, maybe, you’re going through something now.  A difficult season, a seemingly insurmountable task, a time of waiting, the list goes on and on.  Possibly, the person with the difficult mission…is you.

If so, you need to know that God does not give you a mission with any intention that you fail.  You can succeed in the mission God has given you.  Every Monday in the month of August we are going to look at what we need in order to succeed.

Our text…

I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance. Above all, be strong and very courageous to carefully observe the whole instruction My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go. This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night, so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. –Joshua 1:5-9

To succeed in what God has called you to do – you need to be strong and courageous.

Satan would love to weaken you with fear, but we have not been given a spirit of fear.  The righteous are to be as bold as lions.

If you feel that you don’t have any strength left in you – if you’re emotionally drained, physically exhausted and mentally weary – be reminded that the Lord is your strength.

You have every bit of the strength you need…lean into Him and let Him be strong for you.

I completely agree, Amy. It’s much harder to remember when you’re in the middle of a hard time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
